Position: Director of Corporate Services

Job Purpose: Facilitate the relationships between corporate members and certified suppliers. Source procurement opportunities and identify qualified certified MBEs to match with opportunities. Assist President with corporate recruitment and new member orientation. Assist the President in managing corporate member relationships, needs, and requirement. Promote and advocate minority business development at community, corporate and government events. Coordinate procurement events and facilitate matchmaking. Understand supplier diversity and supplier development and the needs to develop quality programs. Serve as staff liaison on assigned committees. Work with Director of MBE Services to gain knowledge of certified supplier capabilities. Supervise Sourcing/Communication Specialist in sourcing and special projects.

 

Position: Executive Assistant

Job Purpose: Conserves President’s time and promotes the corporate image by representing the president internally and externally. An executive assistant is a highly skilled administrative professional who provides a wide range of support services to the President and the senior leadership team. Performs a variety of complex and routine activities that may require access to highly confidential information. Provides office management, travel coordination, board support, accounting assistance, grant proposal preparation, schedule management, document formatting, and file management. Works independently within defined schedules.

 

Position: Administrative Support (Internship or Temporary Employees)

Job Purpose: Provide clerical and administrative support for corporate services team and other office personnel as needed. The position’s direct reporting relationship is to the Director of Corporate Services, however, position also follows direction from the Director of MBE Services. Overall accountability lies with the President.

 

Position: Certification Assistant and Event Coordinator

Job Purpose: Processing recertification applications and maintaining the subscriber database, HUB database, registration, social media and assisting in the coordination and execution of Council programs and events under the direction of the Director of MBE Services. The position’s direct reporting relationship is to the Director of MBE Services, however, overall accountability lies with the President.

 

Position: Certification Specialist

Job Purpose: Processing of all new certification, recertification applications and compliance reviews under the direction of the Director of
MBE Services. The position’s direct reporting relationship is to the Director of MBE Services, however, overall accountability lies with the President.

 

Position: Receptionist/Certification Assistant

Job Purpose: Responsible for receiving visitors by phone and in person. Provides clerical and administrative support for HMSDC personnel as needed. The position’s daily reporting relationship is to the President’s Executive Assistant, however, overall direct accountability lies with the President.

 

Position: Sourcing and Communications Specialist

Job Purpose: Sourcing and dissemination of current procurement opportunities to MBEs; seeking information on the long-term supplier needs of corporate members; and managing the distribution of all communications to HMSDC constituencies is performed under the direction of the Director of Corporate Services. This position’s direct reporting relationship is to the Director of Corporate Services with dotted line reporting to the Director of MBE Services and will work closely with the event management team regarding marketing materials, however, overall accountability lies with the President.
