Subscription Services Overview

A subscription allows MBEs to access a range of services designed to facilitate growth and connectivity across states and regions without the need for additional certifications. Key subscription services include:

  • Direct access to top corporate purchasing agents.
  • Invitations to premium business connection outings and networking events.
  • Regional or industry-specific newsletters.
  • Strategic introductions to national corporate members.
  • Specialized procurement conferences and trade fairs.
  • Supplier diversity summits and roundtable discussions.
  • Professional development fellowships.
  • Mentor-Protégé programs and other educational opportunities.
  • Technical and financial support.

For example, the Houston Minority Supplier Development Council (HMSDC) offers a comprehensive suite of services focused on growing MBE sales and corporate member spend, enhancing your business presence in the Houston region.

Subscription Fee

Fees for subscription services are tiered based on the gross annual sales of your business:

  • Class 1: $0 – 1 Million: $450.00
  • Class 2: $1 – 10 Million: $600.00
  • Class 3: $10 – 50 Million: $800.00
  • Class 4: Over $50 Million: $1,000.00

Eligibility for Subscription Services

To qualify for these services, your business must:

  • Be actively certified by an NMSDC-affiliated RMSDC.
  • Maintain good financial standing with your home RMSDC at the time of the subscription request.
  • Be more than 60 days from your certification expiration date when applying for subscription services.

Duration of Subscription Services

Subscription services are aligned with your certification period with your home RMSDC. The subscription ends on the same date as your home council certification. For instance, if your company is certified through GMSDC from January 30, 2024, to January 30, 2025 your subscription services with HMSDC will also expire on January 30, 2025.

Subscription Timing Rules

Subscriptions can be initiated at any time; however, MBEs nearing certification expiration (within 90 days) at their home RMSDC are advised to wait until re-certification is complete before applying for new subscription services.
