They manage technology, key performance indicators and projects that improve the organization’s ability to operate effectively and efficiently. They also track, monitor and report project progress based on organization and committee performance.

Director, MBE Services

The MBE Services Director is responsible for ensuring the recruitment and certification of minority business enterprises (MBEs) that meet the needs of corporate and government supply chains. Oversees the MBE orientation process to ensure MBEs are informed of HMSDC programs and that HMSDC is supporting their business needs.

External Projects & Data Analytics Manager

The External Projects & Data Analytics Manager is responsible for grants and external facing technology and projects that create revenue streams and improve the organization’s engagement with corporate members, MBEs and strategic partner organizations. They manage the data analytics of HMSDC by utilizing big data and transforming it into organization insights to help improve service delivery for our corporate members, MBEs and community stakeholders.

Certification Specialist

The certification specialist is responsible for managing the “Gold Standard” minority business certification process that HMSDC utilizes to ensure sound and verifiable minority business status based on the certification criteria and process mandated by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). They assist applicants in understanding the process and requirements of 51% ownership, management and control. They work with the Certification Compliance Committee to review submissions, including certification site visits and supports the appeals process. They also support the State of Texas Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) program.

Manages programs that support the organization’s strategic direction with a keen focus on the growth and development of MBEs. Provide guidance to MBEs to maximize HMSDC programs to achieve their goals. Tracks program key performance indicators and assists in writing program funding proposals.
