Director, MBE Services
Maya Thornton is for ensuring the recruitment and certification of minority business enterprises (MBEs) that meet the needs of corporate and government supply chains. Oversees the MBE orientation process to ensure MBEs are informed of HMSDC programs and that HMSDC is supporting their business needs.

SELINA GONZALEZ
Certification Specialist
Mrs. Gonzalez is responsible for managing the “Gold Standard” minority business certification process that HMSDC utilizes to ensure sound and verifiable minority business status based on the certification criteria and process mandated by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). She assists applicants in understanding the process and requirements of 51% ownership, management and control. She works with the Certification Compliance Committee to review submissions, including certification site visits and supports the appeals process. She also supports the State of Texas Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) program.

Corporate Services Specialist
