HMSDC Scholarship Fundraiser 2026: A Day of Connection, Competition, and Community Impact
The Houston Minority Supplier Development Council (HMSDC) was proud to host another incredible Scholarship Fundraiser at the beautiful Wildcat Golf Course, bringing together corporate partners, minority business enterprises (MBEs), sponsors, volunteers, and community leaders for a day filled with purpose, partnership, and fun.
With more than 110 golfers and 50+ social attendees, this year’s event was one of our most successful yet. The energy on the course was undeniable as participants came together to support scholarships, strengthen business relationships, and invest in the next generation of leaders.

More Than a Golf Tournament
The HMSDC Scholarship Fundraiser is designed to be more than just a day on the golf course.
Guests enjoyed:
🎶 DJ & Entertainment
🎰 Casino & Interactive Fun
🤝 Meaningful Networking Opportunities
⛳ Golf Activations & Experiences
🎓 Supporting Scholarships & Future Leaders
Whether participants came to golf, network, sponsor, volunteer, or simply support the cause, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Creating Meaningful Business Connections
One of the unique aspects of the HMSDC Scholarship Fundraiser is our intentional approach to networking.
Each foursome was strategically paired whenever possible to include:
- 2 Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs)
- 2 Corporate Representatives
These pairings are designed to maximize relationship-building opportunities and create meaningful conversations between buyers and suppliers. By aligning business needs and supplier capabilities, HMSDC continues to facilitate new business opportunities and long-term partnerships both on and off the course.
Investing in the Future
This year’s event also highlighted the importance of investing in future generations.
We were honored to have more than 20+ volunteers, including several students from Collegiate 100 at the University of Houston. These students had the opportunity to introduce themselves, share their academic majors, and express their appreciation to the business owners and corporate leaders who continue to support educational and professional development initiatives.
Moments like these remind us exactly why this event matters.
A Special Thank You to Our Volunteers, Staff, and Board
Events of this scale require an incredible team effort.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our volunteers, sponsors, participants, HMSDC staff, and Board of Directors for their dedication, planning, and support. Your commitment helped create a first-class experience for everyone involved.
The Scholarship Fundraiser has become one of HMSDC’s most anticipated events each year, and we are grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s event such a memorable success.
